Daddy's Baby Girl

Our Grace is still not home yet. Yesterday started off to be a very hard day because we miss her so much. We're so ready for her to come home, but we have to remember to be patient. It seems we have lived at the hospital for way too long now. In all reality, it has only been a week and my Gracie is still just 10 days old, but it sure feels a whole lot longer. Grace is doing wonderfully! Larry and I went to visit her yesterday morning and spoke with the doctor. She assured us that Grace is a healthy baby girl. She's gotten a checkup from head to toe. The reason she has to stay in the hospital is because of her breathing when she falls deep, deep asleep. Other than that, she is good to go. We got to give her a bath yesterday and she loved it. Not one cry, not one tear. She just sat in that water and stared at us and cooed. She's like her mama and loves the water. And my girl can EAT! She's already eating almost three ounces of milk every two hours. Her face is really filling out now. Our nurse told us that all of the nurses fight over who gets to hold her because they all say she is just so sweet. And she is! She is the sweetest baby with the most peaceful disposition. I can't wait for you all to meet her. You're gonna love her!!!

P.S. This video was from Sunday night. Grace no longer has any tubes or bandaids on her face. We got rid of the feeding tube because she's eating well and no more oxygen tubes because she's bringing herself back up when her numbers drop. She only has a monitor on her leg and some wires on her little chest. And we're believing those will be gone soon as well. Thank you JESUS!
