It's Monday night and Grace still has not been able to come home. We spent all evening at the hospital with Grace and had an opportunity to talk to the doctors about why she can't come home yet. The hospital performed several tests on Grace today trying to figure out why her breathing gets shallow whever she falls into a really deep sleep. By the end of the evening (about 11pm) we found out that the two "big tests" they did came out negative. Hallelujah!! The doctors assured us that there is absolutely nothing life threatening and they are running tests to rule out any long-term difficulties. Tonight I (Kristie) got to spend all evening with my baby girl. Angel and Alliah watched Kung Fu Panda on the hospital's plasma tv (which was great) after visiting their baby sister. We also got a visit from Larry's mom, Silvia, and step-father, David. They drove from Clovis, CA to meet Miss Grace (Grandma pictured below). When we left, it was hard. Very hard. But we know that it won't be too long that Grace will be home. Tears flow down our cheeks as we walk down those hospital cooridors, but in our hearts we are trusting God and more we are THANKING God for Grace. God has her in His hands and that's where she'll stay no matter where she sleeps. We're ready for her though - even waking up every two to three hours already!! We now know all of the nurses by name and, of course, they know ours very well from the 2-3 calls a day and the morning and evening visits. :D We'll keep you posted....
