Not Yet...

I just got back from spending the evening with Grace at the hospital. When I arrived I was informed that the doctor had selected to put Grace back on oxygen. She had the little tubes in her nose to help her maintain a steady oxygen level. The doctor told me that when she was first admitted into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)she was NEEDING the oxygen. Right now it's just helping her. She had some fluid in her lungs but it is clearing up and she's expected to be just fine. The bad news is that because she needed extra oxygen today, she can't be released for 24 hours afterward. The moment I saw her I cried, but after talking to the nurse (an outstanding crew of nurses!) and the doctor (excellent doctors!) I felt much better and Gracie and I had a good evening of singing and talking - although she was sleeping most of the time. Her expected date to come home is back to Friday. Keep praying for her - and us. We'd love to have her home by the weekend.
